About Kelley's Hero Charter Service

The Skippers:

Ian Dale and Bex Florence are both fully qualified charter skippers with commercially endorsed Yachtmasters. As they have their tickets, this means that they have passed their sea survival, first aid and firefighting courses.

They have both been keen anglers since they can remember. Ian spent his childhood fishing from small boats in and around Langstone Harbour. Bex spent her childhood on fishing boats around Scotland and she has been skippering on the South coast for 10 years.

Matt is our relief skipper. He has been skippering with Kelley's Hero for the last 3 years. Matt has been a keen fisherman for as long as he can remember, both on the shore and on the boat. Before working with Kelley's Hero, Matt has skippered in the area since 2013.

The Boats

Kelley's Hero III is an 11m South Catamaran with twin 330hp Iveco Turbo Charged Diesel engines. She has a top speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots. The boat is fully coded to MCA CAT 2, and is licensed to carry 12 passengers.

Kelley's Hero IV is also an 11m South Catamaran with twin 450hp Iveco turbo charged diesel engines. She has a top speed of 28 knots, and a cruising speed of 18–20 knots. The boat is also fully coded to MCA CAT 2, and is also licensed to carry 12 passengers.

Both boats are equipped with modern equipment such as:

• COLOUR FISHFINDERS
• PLOTTER
• RADAR
• VHF RADIOS

There is also a kettle on board each boat for your endless supply of tea and coffee; all we ask is that you bring the biscuits. There is a toilet on board each boat which provides you with peace of mind throughout your day.
